Overview
Miss Philippa C Jackson graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2006. Having worked in Plastic Surgery for more than 15 years Philippa is passionate about providing her patients with high-quality, holistic care which is tailored to their needs. Over the course of her career Philippa has accrued national and International prizes, has published in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented around the world.
Philippa has a subspecialty interest in Breast Reconstruction and this is the cornerstone of her NHS practice at North Bristol NHS Trust where she performs the Gold Standard reconstruction (DIEP flap) on a routine basis. In addition to her Plastic Surgery training, which allowed her to be recognised on the GMC Specialist Register, she has completed a highly-competitive and internationally recognised interface training fellowship with Breast Surgeons giving her unparalleled insights into the oncological management of breast cancer and the influence it can have on reconstruction.
As well as her enthusiasm for breast reconstruction Philippa has a keen interest in medicolegal work and medical ethics. She has completed a Bachelor degree in Healthcare Ethics and Law at King’s College London and started independent medical expert work in 2021. In addition to her degree Philippa has completed accredited courses in medicolegal practice making her well placed to serve the courts in this role.
